Boating, water skiing, kayaking, rowing, yachting, fishing and swimming are all popular pastimes during the scorching heat of a Central Otago summer.

Downstream, between Clyde, Alexandra and Lake Roxburgh you can take a guided boat cruise combining water excitement with history. The Heritage cruise is a journey back in time through the Roxburgh Gorge where passengers will be given a commentary on the history of the area and view some Central Otago’s best examples of Chinese and European Gold Miners huts and rock shelters dating back to the 1860’s.

The Heritage Cruise takes 2.5 hours which includes a guided tour of the Doctors Point gold workings followed by light refreshments on the banks of the Clutha River (Tea/coffee, muffins etc) At 5pm clients will be transported back to the Alexandra boat ramp.
